Maya Jedlicka— Founder of Clarity® Training
Maya is the founder of Clarity® Dog Training and Cosmic Canine, and the architect of the Clarity® training methodology. With thousands of hands-on training hours and decades of real-world experience, her work bridges high-level performance training, behavior modification, and human leadership development.
Maya has titled multiple dogs in IGP, competing at national and international levels in sports governed by internationally recognized organizations. These titles reflect not only technical skill, but a deep mastery of clarity, structure, pressure, and communication between human and dog. Her training emphasizes reliability under real-world conditions—not rehearsed obedience or surface-level compliance.
In addition to her work as a professional trainer, Maya serves as the Program Director for a U.S. Department of Labor–recognized Dog Training Apprenticeship Program at Cosmic Canine, helping shape the next generation of professional trainers through formalized education, structured mentorship, and ethical standards. This role places her at the intersection of training practice, education, and professional accountability.
Maya is also a law school graduate from Southern Methodist University (SMU), a background that informs her analytical approach to behavior, systems, ethics, and professional responsibility. Her work consistently emphasizes clear thinking, informed decision-making, and accountability—both for trainers and for dog owners.
Known for her direct, no-nonsense coaching style, Maya works best with owners who value clarity over comfort, facts over fluff, and results built through structure and consistency. Her sessions are focused, efficient, and grounded in real-life application, helping owners develop the confidence and leadership required for lasting behavioral change.
At the core of Maya’s work is a simple but uncompromising belief: dogs are not broken. Most behavior problems are the result of unclear communication, unstable structure, and human dysregulation. Clarity® training addresses those root causes—creating calm, confident dogs by developing calm, capable humans.
In addition to her work as a trainer and educator, Maya actively competes with her dogs at national and international events. As a result, availability for private coaching may be limited or temporarily paused during competition and travel periods.
